Matthew W. Phillips

PHILLIPS - Kernersville Matthew W. Phillips, born August 16, 1989, died unexpectedly on October 6, 2008. Matthew was a student at FTCC and was working towards a degree in Graphic Arts. Matthew was adored by his family and is now in the loving arms of Jesus. He is survived by his parents, Debbie and Steve Phillips; a sister, Courtney Phillips; aunt and uncle, Linda and Bobby Holcomb; aunt and uncle, Louise and Tom Dudas; maternal grandfather, Floyd Smith; and many cousins, all of Kernersville; paternal grandparents, Janet and Bill Phillips, aunt, Laurie Phillips and son Graham; aunt and uncle, June and Craig Phillips and children Kelly and Brian. There will be a private family service at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. A special thank you, from the family, to the Kernersville Police and Fire Department, and to Dr. Allison Snider of Kernersville.
