Matthew Wilson Faircloth

Mr. Matthew Wilson Faircloth, 51, of Lewisville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.  Matthew was born in Forsyth County on October 24, 1967, to Horace Michael Faircloth and Terrie Brown Faircloth.  He graduated from West Forsyth High School in 1986 and received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  Matt retired as a supervisor from the Forsyth County Department of Social Services.  Following retirement, he volunteered at the Forsyth Humane Society.  Matt was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, and maternal grandparents.  In addition to his mother he is survived by his brother, John Hall Faircloth (Cristie) of Lewisville, NC; one uncle, Brian Brown (Elizabeth) of Pfafftown, NC; two cousins, Joseph Brown of Pfafftown, NC and Rebecca Brown of Wilmington, NC; and numerous other relatives and friends.  A private graveside service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family of Mr. Faircloth.
