Maxine Poplin Snow

Maxine Poplin Snow, 86, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Maxine was born December 9, 1930, in Cabarrus County to Lester K. Poplin and Wilma Helms Poplin. She was a homemaker that adored her family, gardening and taking long walks. Maxine was a lifelong member of Hanes Baptist Church. She loved and enjoyed babysitting children. In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert Snow, son, Von Ray Snow; 3 brothers, Keith Poplin, Ray Von Poplin and Don Poplin, and 3 sisters; Penny Cambell, Rachel Snow and Lenora ""Sissy"" Day.

Maxine is survived by her son, Robbie Snow and wife Angela; brother, Bobby Poplin of Ft. Worth, TX; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and Nathan Snow; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 at 12 noon at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Jon White officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Southfork Assisted Living Memory Care Unit and Hospice and Palliative Care of Winston-Salem.
