Mckenzie Grubbs

Ms. McKenzie Lea Grubbs, 22, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023. She was born June 23, 2000, in Forsyth County to Michael Robert Grubbs and Vanessa Lea Blevins Grubbs. McKenzie was a selfless individual who left full time employment to take care of her Nana and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She was known for her gifted green thumb as she grew vegetables, herbs, and planted many flowers. She was a good cook and understood how to create natural remedies for herself and loved ones.  She loved all of God’s creatures especially Roxi and Lila, her two sweet dogs. In her spare time, she enjoyed journaling, reading, and most of all being outdoors. McKenzie was recently certified for peer counseling for troubled teens and started knitting taboggans for the homeless. She was a true blessing to all that she met.  She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Vance Grubbs; maternal grandparents, Beno Blevins and Shirley Blevins; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her parents, Michael Robert Grubbs and Vanessa Lea Blevins Grubbs; sister, Molley-Kate Grubbs; grandmother, Katy Grubbs; three aunts, Melanie Grubbs Cole, Constance Blevins, and Crystal Hiatt; three uncles, Beno Blevins, Jr. (Debbie), Justin Blevins (Temple), and Eddie Wood; and numerous cousins.
