Winston-SalemMelissa Ann Wood Cruz Perez, 26, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 16, 2011. ""Sweet Melissa,"" a sweet, smart, and beautiful young lady was born in Forsyth County on November 14, 1984. Melissa worked at Cicciones Restaurant in Lewisville and formerly workd at IHOP. Surviving is her loving family; husband, Armando Cruz Perez; son, Joseph Anthony Cruz Perez; parents, Henry and Linda Pridgen; brother, Jeffery Scott Wood, Jr.; sisters, Shaye Pridgen and Kimberly Pridgen, and brother, Henry Lofton Pridgen, III; grandparents, Rita and John Milne, Sr. and Geraldine Moore and Rev. H.L. Moore; uncles, John Milne, Kevin Milne, Darryl Moore, and Terry Moore; aunts, Kiki Milne and Ann Mosley; special cousins, Tonya Blanton, Teresa Milne and Megan Milne; also surviving are many family members and friends and she will be missed by all she knew and loved. A celebration of her life will be held 6:30-8:30 PM Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts.
