Melva Adams

Mrs. Melva Dean Adams, 85, of Winston-Salem passed away on December 9, 2018 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. She was born on February 18, 1933 in Davidson County to Melvin and Clara Hester Davis. Mrs. Adams was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church and her favorite past time was finding great bargains. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James “Big Jim” Adams, Sr.; one son, James “Little Jim” Adams, Jr.; two sisters, Betty Beck and Jane Carol Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at New Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Byrne and Rev. Charlie Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the church.
