Melvin Fenner Faucette

Kernersville-Mr. Melvin Fenner Faucette, 86, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016. He was born in Vance Co. July 1, 1930 to the late Jessie Thomas and Mattie Claborne Faucette. Melvin loved his family, his church, his preacher, and his Sunday School Teacher. He also loved people and fishing.

Surviving are, his wife; Shirley Hodges Faucette, two daughters; Debbie Vermeulen, and Teresa Spencer, two step children, David Parrish, and Sherri McMahan, four grandchildren, Brandy, Belle, Krystal, and William. Eight great grandchildren, Jaylen, Bryson, Chase, Jackson, Sadie, Hayden, Little William, and Emma, a very special family friend; Dawn Barker, five step grandchildren; Brian, Vicki, Amanda, Kasey, and Amanda, two step great grandchildren; Luke and Audrey.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, October 3, 2016 with Dr. Bobby Roberson, Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A special thanks to Hospice of High Point for all the care that was given to Melvin in his time of need.
