Melvina "Betty" Vile

Mrs. Melvina “Betty” Elizabeth Wine Vile, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born on December 6, 1927 in Camden County, NJ to the late Walter Angelo Wine and Elizabeth Melvina Covey Wine.  Mrs. Vile was a member of New Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. She loved the Lord and was faithful. Mrs. Vile enjoyed crocheting, decorating, cooking, and deep sea fishing with her late husband. She loved animals. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Clarence Vile, and two daughters, Mary Spurgeon and Barbara Hardy. Surviving are a daughter, Betty Ann Joslin and husband, David of Yadkinville, two sons, Jimmy Holmes of Camden, New Jersey and Michael Holmes of Yadkinville, five grandchildren, Jennifer Lance, Mary Ann Joslin, Timothy Joslin, Soloman Hyman, and Jeffrey Hyman, many nieces and nephews in Huntsville, AL, and a great-grand dog, Baby Girl. A service will be conducted in her honor 2:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Rev. Joel Bartz. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
