Merle LeRoy Clark

Mr. Merle L. Clark age 98, trusted in his Lord and Savior and followed him daily. On August 16, 2016 he got to see him face to face. Merle passed away at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born April 30, 1918 in Town of Union, New York to Leroy Clark and Gladys Deats Clark. Merle was best known as a Barber Shop Singer. Music was his passion and he loved singing to anyone. He was also known as a jack of all trades. Merle never met a stranger and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents Merle was preceded in death by two wives; Alice and Luelle. One daughter, Dawn Marie Turano, one sister, Helen Silfee and one brother, Robert Clark.

Mr. Clark is survived by two daughters; Linda (Jim) Rogers and Melody Hickman. Two sons; David (Dana) Clark and Mark (Kathy) Clark. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Two step-sons; Eddie Parks and David Parks. One step-granddaughter. Two sisters; Lavina Lewis and Betty Dodgson and one brother, Amos Clark. Several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mr. Clark will be held at a later date.
