Michael Roger Dodson

BELEWS CREEK-Michael Roger Dodson, 59, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born September 30, 1954 in Forsyth Co. to Alma Goins Dodson and the late Alvin Dodson.

Michael was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church and was employed with RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. for over 39 years.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Carolyn Preston Dodson of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Dodson, and Melissa Mitchell (Jay); two granddaughters, Edith and Cary Mitchell; two brothers, Mark Dodson (Vicki) and Marty Dodson (Tamara); and one sister, Wilma Parson (George).

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Goodwill Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Mullis and Rev. Roscoe Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
