It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the passing of Michael Eugene Cranford, 66, of Forsyth County, North Carolina. Michael passed away on March 19, 2022, from natural causes after a lifetime battle of post-polio syndrome.

He was born in West Virginia to Jack Cranford and Betty Flack on August 30, 1955.

Michael became a deputy with the Forsyth County Sheriff's department and retired after many years of proudly serving his community.

He is survived by his father, Jack Cranford; stepmother, Louisa Cranford; sister, Cathy Hamilton; 2 children, Thomas Cranford, and Daniel Cranford; as well as his two grandchildren, Kylan Cranford, and Madilyn Cranford.

Michael was a strong, kind, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family.
