Michael Harry Hamilton

Michael Harry Hamilton was born March 2, 1948 in Dover, OH to Harry and Verna Edie Hamilton. He departed this earthly life on November 5, 2015. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and the United States Coast Guard for 20 years. After retiring in 1993, Mike pursued his interest in antiquing, flea market finds, woodworking, and DIY projects. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 48 years, Margaret ""Margie"" Sligar Hamilton; daughters, Carmin (Eric) Kieffer and Angela (Scott) Phillips; grandchildren: Eric Jr, Erin and Ella Kieffer and Ethan and Emily Phillips; one sister, Helene Pringle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is also survived by his faithful and constant companions, Toby the dog and KiKi the cat. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 10 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. There will be a private graveside service at Crestview Memorial Park. Mike loved all animals, so in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Forsyth County Humane Society, 61 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
