Michael Wayne Jones

Michael Wayne Jones, 68, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at his home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Michael was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, on July 28, 1957. He graduated from Perry Meridan High School in 1976. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 to 1983. Michael worked as a truck driver for many years. His last job was working as a housekeeper at the Hampton Inn in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Michael is preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Sandra Langhorst; his parents, Harold Lee and Carrie Sharp Jones; and his brother, Russell Jones.

He is survived by his only son, Christopher Michael Jones; his siblings, Robbin Adams (Gene Tuttle) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Pamela Cook (David) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Ronald Jones (Brenda) of Indianapolis, Indiana; as well as five nephews and two nieces.

A memorial service and urn burial will occur at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Fellowship Baptist Church, 1075 Teague Rd, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27107. The family thanks you for your prayers.
