Mr. Michael Lee Keith, 73, gained his wings after many years of declining health at Forsyth Medical Center on Sunday, November 4, 2018. He was born on August 28, 1945 in Colby, Kansas to Jerry Keith and Cleo Nifong Keith. Michael graduated from Griffith High School in 1963. He retired from AT&T Telecommunications that eventually turned into Lucent Technologies as a technical illustrator. Michael loved softball, baseball, music, art, drawing, sports cars, and he especially loved sitting in his lawn chair in the sun every day. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, but he had recently been attending Konnoak Baptist Church when his health allowed. Michael was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Timothy David Keith. Surviving family includes his wife of 50 years, Tenia Keith; son, Jeff Keith and fiancé, Kim; grandchildren, Ashton Keith, Hannah Keith, and Clara Ledbetter; brother, Steve Keith; and many nieces and nephews which he loved dearly. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. John Bishop officiating. A committal service will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller.
