Mr. Michael Steven Parks, Sr., 65, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020. He was born in Forsyth County on April 15, 1955 to William and Betty Parks. Michael was a “Vietnam Era Veteran” that served in the Ceremonial Guard, after which he served as a Yeoman (YN2) to the Secretary of the Navy at the Department of Defense in the Pentagon.
He owned and operated Triad Autotronics. He also co-founded and owned Trinity Enterprise. While working for Trinity Enterprise, he co-invented one of the world's first child safety seats for the aerospace industry. In addition, he worked at Salem Vision Center where he served as a general manager.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother; and brother, Bill Parks. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Pamela Linville Parks; a daughter, Amanda Parks Bowman; son, Michael Steven Parks, Jr.; his father, William Donald Parks (Jane); one brother, Brian Parks; sister, Charleyne Collins; and three nephews, Bradley, Adam, and Taylor Parks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC, 27103.
