Michael Jacob Sapp

KERNERSVILLE – Michael Jacob Sapp, 75, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. Mike was born on November 22, 1948 in Forsyth County to the late Paul Ashburn and Thelma Montgomery Sapp. 

Mike was definitely a people person and loved every minute spent with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling and social gatherings. Mike was outgoing, never met a stranger, and had a mischievous, but fun, sense of humor. He loved playing practical jokes on people and making people laugh.

As a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, he served faithfully on various committees and actively participated in the Boy Scout Program.

Mike worked for Swaim Originals in High Point for over 35 years, where he shared his life passion for furniture manufacturing and design. He was loyal to that passion and to the company. Mike loved being part of a team who shared the same interests and attention to details.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Rhonda Sapp; a son, Jonathan Sapp (wife, Kristyn); a daughter, Ragan Sapp; and two grandchildren, Evan and Leeland Sapp.

A service of celebration will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Phil Bauguess officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
