Michael Curtis Wagoner

Kernersville – Michael Curtis Wagoner, 71, passed away at home on Monday, April 6, 2026. He was born February 10, 1955 in Elkin, NC to the late Junior and Mary Wagoner.

Michael Wagoner retired from RJR Tobacco Company after over 40 years of service. 

Surviving him are his wife of 53 years, Sherry; his daughter, Laurie Johnson (Michael) of Pfafftown; his son, Johnny Wagoner (Courtney) of Kernersville; grandchildren, Cameron, Bella Wagoner (Johnny), Ceaira, Bridget, and Hailee Johnson (Laurie); two sisters, Barbara Edwards (Roger) of Lexington, and Tammy Barker (David) of Walkertown. 

Michael was a joyous man that never met a stranger, made friends everywhere he went, had a life-long passion for motorcycles, cars, movies and most of all, his family. His voice, his laughter, and his spirit will be greatly missed. 

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Francis Smith officiating.
