Michael Lauren Wardlaw

Michael Lauren Wardlaw, 66, of Winston-Salem, went home to be with his Lord Monday, August 26, 2024 in Pine Ridge Health and Rehab in Thomasville. He was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Walter and Ann Wardlaw on May 26, 1958. Michael was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He enjoyed fishing and playing the piano. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish Michael’s memory is his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Denise Wardlaw, of the home; a stepson, Michael Mackie (Carla) of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Hal Wardlaw (Donna) of Lexington and Aubrey Wardlaw (Katie) of Winston-Salem; two step-grandchildren; and his beloved cat, Baby

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Parklawn Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. There will not be a formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to Well Care Hospice, 146 Dornach Way, Advance, NC 27006. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family.
