Michael Whitaker

Mr. Michael Lewis "Micky" Whitaker, 49, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, October 23, 2017. He was born in Forsyth County on April 30, 1968 the son of Brenda Anders Whitaker and Lewis B. Whitaker, Jr. Mickey loved Hot Wheels, racing, and the beach. He was an avid Carolina Panthers and Wake Forest Demon Deacon fan. Mickey was a one of a kind brother. He loved reading the Bible and was currently studying to be a Jehovah's Witness. Micky was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Whitaker. In addition to his parents, Mickey is survived by two sisters, Ginger Whitaker Mock and Janice "Sissy" Whitaker; daughter, Ana Grimmett; grandson, Cole Grimmett; nephews: Josse Davis, Alex Whitaker, Jacob Davis, and Nicholas Martinez; great-niece, Willow Whitaker; special friend, Della Jones; best friends, Mike Cooper and William Littlejohn; and many friends and extended family. A service to honor Micky's life will be held at a later date.
