Michael "Taz" Calvin Wood

Mr. Michael ""Taz"" Calvin Wood, 57, of Winston-Salem, passed away on August 5, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 6, 1959 in Columbia, South Carolina to William Calvin Wood and Dorothy Barber Wood. Taz was a lover of music and enjoyed playing the drums. He was a hard worker and worked for B and E Aerospace for over thirty-five years. Taz will be remembered as a loving father, a great friend, very wise, and always there for his fellow man. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Kim Medlin, and a special mother-like figure, Jean ""Nanny"" Wood. Surviving are two daughters, Cortney McIntosh and husband James, and Whitney Haggerty and husband Ryan, and a son, Morgan Wood, a grandchild, Skylar, two sisters, Becky Strickland and husband Rodney, and Phyllis Perry and husband John, and several nieces and nephews.
