Michelle Govan (Merritt)

Michelle Govan Merritt, 67, passed away at her home on February 12, 2023. Michelle was born on December 4, 1955, to Ruth May Himmelberger Nice and Richard Nice in Berks County, Reading, PA. Michelle loved her children and grandchildren above anything in the world, “Love You More”. She loved gardening, Hilton Head, family traditions, crafting with her grandchildren, being silly, laughing, dancing, singing, hiking, biking, fitness, planning elaborate detailed parties and a DIY queen, as there was nothing she couldn’t create with her creative mind and talent. Michelle was a woman of faith, an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan, a mother to all who met her, and fought like a beast to the very end. Surviving are her husband, Bob Merritt; daughters, April Craddock; Amber Morehead; and Emily Denby; grandchildren, Madison Morris, Morgan Craddock, Brooke Craddock, Jaize Morehead, Elly Morehead and Arilyn Mitchell; sister, Jude Williard; precious companion, Marv.
