Mickey Bishop

Mickey Charles “Bubba” Bishop, 60, of Pinnacle, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 23, 2019. Mickey was born on July 16, 1958 to the late Charles W. Bishop and Ruby Lane Bishop. He was a graduate of NC State in 1983 receiving a BS degree in computer science. He later began teaching for Forsyth Tech and later transferred to the Community College systems in Raleigh. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Lynn Bishop. Mickey is survived by a sister, Annette Hundley (Dale) of Pinnacle; his nephews, Matthew Cecil of Winston-Salem and Sidney Cecil (Morgan) of Lexington; his great-niece, Raelyn Cecil; and his great-nephew, Chaz Cecil. A graveside service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Janet Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 prior to the graveside service at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and at other times at the home of Annette and Dale Hundley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hemophilia Foundation.
