Miguel Daniel Garcia, 66, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Mill Creek Center.
Miguel was born on September 28, 1959, in Charlotte, NC, to the late Francisco and Patricia Garcia. A devout Catholic, Miguel was baptized by Bishop Begley and was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Winston-Salem.
He was actively involved with Veterans Helping Veterans Heal, where he resided for a time before living peacefully with his dear friend of five years, Leonard Bartholomew. Miguel was a tremendous person and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sean Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Richard Weaver; a daughter, Ashley; his brothers, Matthew and Stephen Garcia; and his sister, Mercy Garcia; his friend, Leonard Bartholomew of the home.
A memorial service celebrating Miguel’s life will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 13, 2025, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 335 Springdale Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
