Mildred Burton Holder

Mrs. Mildred Burton Holder, 78, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1935 in Davie County. Mildred was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and retired from Jostens Publishing Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nannie Keaton Burton and Johnny and Eupherzine Burton; her son, William Keith Holder; a sister, Doris Barnes, and brother Robin Burton. She is survived by her husband John Holder, daughter; Karen Jones (Gary) of Advance, two grandchildren; Shannon Powell (Brad) of Olin and Gary Bradley Jones of Advance, one great granddaughter; Emma Jones, two sisters; Shirley Phelps of Lewisville and Abby Jane Stanley of Advance; five brothers; Johnny Burton Jr., William ""Buddy"" Burton, Herbert ""Buster"" Gray Burton, Rodney Dale Burton and James ""Jimmy"" Burton. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robin Fitzgerald officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1130 Jonestown Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 The family will receive friends following the service.
