Mrs. Mildred Yates Taylor, 86, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011. She was born October 4, 1925 in Quinwood, West Virginia to Ella Dunford Yates and Arthur James Yates. Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Assembly of God and retired from Royal Cake Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jubel Jahue Taylor, Sr.; two sons, Jubel J. Taylor, Jr. and Charles E. Taylor; a daughter-in-law, Tomi Taylor and a sister, Sue Hawks. Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Boyles of Lewisville and Mary Riggins (Don) of Wilson, NC; one son, David Taylor of Mocksville; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Smith and Frances Cox and a sister-in-law, Beulah Miller. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Wolfe officiating with visitation following the service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Memorials may be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care of the donor's choice.
