Mollie Richardson

Kernersville – Mollie Anne Richardson, 80, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Kernersville Medical Center. Anne was born December 11, 1937 in Davie County to Gilmer and Clara Mae Parks Richardson. As a child, she attended New Union United Methodist Church in Sheffield. Once coming to Winston-Salem, Anne became a faithful member of Edgewood Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, was the Church Librarian and worked with young children. Anne loved people and always loved sharing conversations with those she knew. Above all, she loved her family. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her second husband, Kenneth Gimlin; and later her third husband, Vance Richardson; and one brother, Paul Richardson. Surviving are two daughters, Tamra Autry (Mitchell) and Kelly Gimlin (Renee Brown); two sons, Kenneth Gimlin (Tina), and Kent Barnhardt (Karen); eight grandchildren, Calvin, Ryan, Sydney, Jason, Joshua, Emily, Carrie, and Ethan; one great grandchild, Lillyana; a brother, Dave Richardson (Nicole); first husband and friend, Don Barnhardt; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Hogan officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 11:00 -11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, 4067 Reidsville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
