Mona Hilliard Nichols

Mrs. Mona Hilliard Nichols, 80, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014.

Mona was born August 30, 1934, to the late Ralph Hilliard and Carrie Moore Hilliard. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and retired from Winchester Firearms in New Haven, CT. In addition to her parents, Mona was predeceased by a granddaughter, Nevaeh Michaud.

Mona is survived by her loving husband, Charles Nichols, of the home; children, Keith C. Nichols of San Diego, CA and Brenda J. Michaud of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; stepchildren, Bobby Smith of Welcome and Debbie Stillman of Winston-Salem; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Mona's life will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2 pm at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Hogan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 pm - 2 pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, 4607 Reidsville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
