Mr. Carol Cox

Mr. Carol Dean Cox, 79, was Heaven Bound on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018at Forsyth Medical Center. Carol was born on June 28, 1939 in Carroll County, VA to Ellis Lee and Ocea Cockerham Cox. Carol graduated from Mineral Springs High School in 1957 and worked for R.J. Reynolds with 30 years of service. He was talented in many areas and his love of classic cars, gardening and building his Mountain Home brought him much enjoyment. In addition to his parents, Carol was preceded in death by his brothers; an infant child, Ellis “Lee” Cox, Jr., Charles “Robert” Cox and Curtis “Roger” Cox. Surviving are his daughter, Kathryn Conrad (Eddie); two sons, Michael Cox (Stacie) and Cris Cox (Wendy); six grandchildren, Todd Jargowsky (Lauren), Jameson Jargowsky, Shawn Jargowsky, Elizabeth Walter (David), Clay Cox and Mason Cox; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Lila and Dylan Jargowsky; and former wife, Audine Cox. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
