Mr. Donald Ogburn

Kernersville - Mr. Donald Ray Ogburn, 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 15, 1941 to the late, Paul David and Addis Urina Dillon Ogburn. Donald loved gardening, canning, and especially sharing with his friends and family. "He didn't know a stranger." Mr. Ogburn had a wonderful sense of humor. In addition to his parents he was, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rebecca Lucille Ogburn, and a daughter, Rhonda Lucille Ogburn.

Surviving are one son, Donald Gray Ogburn; one daughter, Susan Koontz (Tony), two grandchildren; Amber Dawn Hindenburg (Erik), and Madison Wade Simcox, one great grandson, Noah Charles Hindenburg; one sister, Shirley Gordon; his twin brother, Ronald Ogburn (Betty); three other brothers, Allen Ogburn (Erma), Alvin Ogburn (Shirley), and Paul David Ogburn (JoAnne); and many special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Green Valley Baptist Church in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Ogburn family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lost Sheep Ministry at 1444 Breda Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918.
