Mrs. Jane Royester Pate

Mrs. Jane Royster Pate, 90, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Monday, August 12, 2013. Mrs. Pate was born January 4, 1923 in Cumberland Co., NC to the late Ornie J. and Pearl Jackson Royster. She graduate from Cumberland High School in 1940 and was a 1942 graduate of Peace College, Raleigh, NC. Prior to her marriage, she worked for Mclean Trucking Co. and the VA Hospital in Fayetteville. She has been a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church since 1948. Surviving is her husband, Cecil Pate of the home, a daughter, Beth Howard and husband, Warren of Clemmons, NC, 2 sons; Richard Pate and wife, Patty of Winston-Salem and Jerry Pate of Winston-Salem, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The Family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Ardmore United Methodist Church. The Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Ardmore United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Jock Ollis and Rev. Linda Browne. Burial will follow in the Forsyth Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 S. Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103
