Mrs. Jean Killon Shuping, 81 of Winston-Salem died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born March 7, 1932 in Grayson, VA, the daughter of the late, Elbert Morris Killen and Mary Beatrice Murphy. Mrs. Shuping was a graduate of Galax High School and she enjoyed a long distinguished career as the Assistant Clerk of Superior Court for Forsyth County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas F. Brady and Harry R. Shuping; and one sister, Jeanette Lineberry. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Brady Brewer of Winston-Salem; one son, David Scott Brady of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jason Brewer of Winston-Salem, Matthew Brewer and wife April of Winston-Salem and Adam Brady of Lexington; one sister, Jama Lee Bartley of Mt. Airy; two brothers, Elbert Killon Jr. of Galax,VA, and Edwin Jerrard Killen of Mt. Airy. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel officiated by Elbert Killon , Jr.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B.
