Mrs. Lelia Robertson Hodges, 91, died peacefully on February 3rd, 2014 after a long battle with alzheimer's. Lelia was born on August 27, 1922 in Summerfield, NC to Frank and Lessie Newnam Robertson. She was married over 60 years to her husband Steve Hodges. She worked at Steve's Italian, and various other family owned restuarants over the years. A woman of strong faith, Lelia was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She is dearly loved and will always be remembered by her two grandsons, Steven James Hodges of Cary, N.C. and George James Hodges of Winston-Salem; a great-grandson Stavros and great-granddaughter Marianna of Winston-Salem; a brother-in-law and sister Fred and Ruby Robertson Edmiston of Houston, TX. Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Frances and Marie, brothers William, Frank and Odell, husband Steve, son James and daughter-in-law Eleni. A Graveside Serivce will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Forsyth Memorial Park officiated by Father Demetri Kangelaris In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Greek Orthodox Church, 124 Keating Dr. W-S, N.C. 27104, Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, WS, N.C. 27103 or to The Alzheimer's Association at http://www.alz.org/.
