Mrs. Mona Davis Jones

Mrs. Mona Davis Jones, 73, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, February 3, 2014 in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born on June 26, 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC to Gilbert T. and Melba H. Davis. In June of 1959 she married Jack L. Jones; and together, they raised their daughters, Ginger and Debbie. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Mona and Jack enjoyed painting and woodcarving together. Mona is survived by her husband, Jack; mother, Melba; daughter, Ginger Bryan and husband Dolph; daughter, Debbie Arnold and husband Andy; granddaughters, Leilani and Makayla Arnold; brother, Gil Davis; and two sisters, Donna Keylon and Becky Norman. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Rev. Gary Byrum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
