Mrs. Ruby Marie Wagoner Pruitt

Mrs. Ruby Marie Wagoner Pruitt, 74, of Winston-Salem, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born June 27, 1939, to the late Sant J. Wagoner and Annie Susan M. Wagoner. She passed away after a brave struggle. Ruby was one of the sweetest people you could have the pleasure of being around. All who knew her loved her. She was a member of Hanes Baptist Church and was retired from RJR Tobacco Company after 33 years of service. Death is a challenge. It tells us not to waste time. It tells us to tell each other right now that we love each other. Love is stronger than death, even though it cannot stop death from happening. No matter how hard death tries it can't separate people from love. It can't take away our memories either. In the end, love is stronger than death. There is sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief…and unspeakable love Thessalonians 4:13-14 - Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Marie Pruitt Cox; brothers, Oddress O. Wagoner, George Ray Wagoner, S. Eugene Wagoner, Orville Edward Wagoner and sister, Carolyn Leonard. She is survived by her husband, Bobbie H. Pruitt; grandson, Randall W. Clore and wife Amy K. Clore. She was also a proud great-grandmother of Blake W. Clore, son of Randall W. Clore and wife Amy K. Clore. Mrs. Wagoner is also survived by her brother Adrian Wagoner and wife Marie Wagoner. The legacy of her kind spirit will live on in her family. A Graveside Service will be conducted at Forsyth Memorial Park, in Winston-Salem 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 30, 2013, with the Rev. Jason Holley officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel from 6-8:00 pm. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Kate B.
