Mrs. Viola ""Vallie"" Johnson Prince, 75 of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015. Vallie was born November 8, 1939 in Surry County to the late James Claude and Claramae Lena Stanley Johnson. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and graduate of Draughon's Business College. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a true friend to all that knew her. To know her was to love her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Alice Johnson, Mary J. Davis, two brothers; Roscoe Johnson, Marvin Johnson and a step-son; Kenny Prince. Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband, James Orum Prince of the home, two sons Wayne Prince and Fiancee, Sandra Dell Morgan, Jonathan Prince, a step-son; Jimmy Prince, a step-daughter; Kathy Newcomer, a step-daughter; Karen Sink four sisters; Almeta Craddock, Margerette Shaffner and husband, Jimmy, Wilhemina ""Billie"" Spruill, Claramae Hillard, a brother, Malery Johnson and wife, Velno, , numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and beloved caregiver, Sandra Peters. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel officiated by Dr. Howard Wilburn. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon-2:00 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Gardens Memorial Gardens.
