Nancy O'Hare Blue

KERNERSVILLE – Nancy O’Hare Blue, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Forsyth Medical Center. Nancy was born on January 21, 1946 in Lee County to Raymond and Fran McNeill O’Hare. She was a devoted member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church for over 45 years. Nancy served the church in many capacities but her love for children led her and her husband to be one of the best Sunday School Teachers and Youth Leaders! Nancy had a great love for flowers that matched her personality – bringing joy, warmth and positive vibes to those around her – never forgetting to bring donuts to Sunday School and never leaving anywhere without a smile. She was also very intentional with sending cards to people, bringing a ray of light and letting them know that she loved them “bunches and bunches”!

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Blue; and her brother, Tommy O’Hare.

Surviving are her daughter, Ashley Blue; her son, Ray Blue (Erica); four grandchildren, Makenzie, Gabriel, Ruby, and Zoey; cousins, Mary Frances Wilson-Wittenstrom, and Willis McNeill; and sisters-in-law, Pam and Vickie.

A funeral service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Pastor Keith Edwards officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
