Nancy Branscome

Mrs. Nancy "Louise" Jones Branscome, 81, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Friends Home at Guilford in Greensboro, NC. Prior to moving to Friends Home five years ago, she lived in Colfax, NC. Nancy was born April 7, 1937, in Wythe County Virginia to the late Howard and Ovella Jones. She was retired from Sears Roebuck & Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie L. Branscome and her sister, Lois Waddell. Survivors include her son, Tim Branscome (Luciana Mikos) and daughter, Cindy Browning (Todd); Brothers Jerry Jones and wife Kay of Browns Summit, NC, Leon Jones and wife Linda of Hopewell, Va.; Brother-in-Law Bobby Branscome and wife Linda of Max Meadows, Va.; and grandchildren, Maximillian Branscome and Anna Branscome of London, England. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Friends Home at Guilford and the team from Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for their dedication and outstanding care. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Friends Home at Guilford in the Woolman Living Room, 925 New Garden Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
