Nancy Cockerham

Mrs. Nancy Settle Cockerham, 87, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017. She was born December 11, 1929 in Forsyth County to Bernice Money Settle and William Joseph Settle. Mrs. Cockerham was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church where she also sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a sister, Evelyn S. Parrish. Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Montgomery (Bill) and Diane Miller (Harry), all of Myrtle Beach, SC; one son, Ray Gregory of Cleveland, GA; one sister, Helen S. Monk of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Joe Monk officiating. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospices of America.
