Nancy Kitts England

Mrs. Nancy Kitts England, 85, passed away Tuesday February 6, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 3, 1938, in Wytheville VA, to the late William Castle Kitts and Gladys Cline Kitts. At a young age and growing up in the church, she found her love of music. Nancy played the piano and could play music by ear. Nancy’s greatest love was being a Mamaw, she enjoyed tending to her garden, canning, was known as an excellent cake baker, enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her beloved dog Lulu, and absolutely loved Christmas. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, loved her lord and savior Jesus Christ, and enjoyed gospel singing. In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Eugene Spainhour, a son-in-law, and a grandson. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry England Kimel, a grandson; Daniel Kimel, two stepdaughters; Tammy Spainhour Stainback, and Eugenia Marie Spainhour, two step-granddaughters; Katelyn Stainback, and Karly Myers (Steven), and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday February 13, 2024, at First Baptist Church Stanleyville with Rev. Dr. Virgil G. Dwyer, Jr officiating. A burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Stanleyville 851 Ziglar Rd. Winston-Salem NC, 27105.
