Winston-Salem- Mrs. Nancy Linville Watkins Carmichael, 84, went to be with Her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 25, 2024. She was born March 25, 1940, in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late James Hubbard and Ollie Neal Linville. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Avery Thomas Watkins, Jr. and her infant niece Kelly Neal Pierce. Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Querrendar L. “Mike” Carmichael; her sister, Janie Linville Pierce (Charles); her nephew, Keith (Darlene) Pierce; her great niece, Heather Pierce McCoy (Ethan); her great nephew, Justin Blake Pierce. Nancy worked for Western Electric (AT&T) and retired with 31 plus years service. She was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church in Walkertown. She also enjoyed Square Dancing with the Centennial Square Club for 30 years. She loved people and loved being with her cousins, Wanda Scott, Wilma Krites, Kathyn Sell and Karen Dillon. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Evans and Pastor Jeff Copley officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
