Nancy Marie Manuel

Ms. Nancy Marie Manuel, 89, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed into the more immediate presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.

Nancy was born on January 9, 1935, to the late John Normal Manuel, Sr. and Annie Louise Reeves Manuel in Forsyth County, NC.  

She was a lifelong member of Fairview Moravian Church, singing in the choir, playing in the band, and teaching children’s Sunday School.  She was also awarded the James V Salzwedel award in 2015 for her many years of service to Fairview’s music ministry.  

She worked for over 30 years at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and loved spending time with her family and her church friends.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers, J.N. Manuel and Bob Manuel; and one nephew, Soo Young Shin.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister-in-law, Inae Manuel; niece, Terri (David) Barringer; nephews, Lee (Eileen) Manuel, Steve (Sandy) Manuel, Jeff (Julie) Manuel, and Jim (Irene) Manuel; and many great nieces and nephews.  

A memorial service will be held for Nancy on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Fairview Moravian Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tony Hayworth officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
