Nancy Mickey

Mrs. Nancy B. Mickey, 86, widow of Glenn W. Mickey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, with family by her side. She was born in Forsyth County July 10, 1931 to the late Noah Winfield Beck and Nannie Teague Beck. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Karen Bowers (Rusty) of Wilmington, NC, and Kathy Matthews (Kevin) of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda Bowers, both of Wilmington, and Amethyst Matthews of Thomasville, NC; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Jude, and Thane. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel Rural Hall with Steve Cook, Minister officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Tobaccoville, NC. The family will receive friends Monday evening, May 14, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
