Nancy Volz Roberts

Nancy Volz Roberts, 92, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at Trinity Elms Health and Rehab. She was born on September 6, 1933, in Pennsylvania to the late Walter and Hilda Mehrlich Volz. Mrs. Roberts graduated from Valparaiso University and was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was a vital member of her community volunteering in many different capacities and started the St. John’s Lutheran School Library. Preceding her in death was her husband, Donald Roberts; sister, Mildred Kegel and a brother, Herb Volz. Surviving are three daughters, Sonia Clark (Tony), Paula Daniels (David), and Barbara Byrnes (Bob); eight grandchildren, Jennifer Majure (Scott), Brittany Clark (Jared Flood), Cassie Clark, Ari Clark, Michael Daniels (Emily), Mark Daniels (Stephanie), Jack Byrnes, and McCall Byrnes; also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 18, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Tyson Labuhn and Rev. Philip Vangen officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2415 Silas Creek Parkway Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
