Nancy “Jayne” Hutchens Sturdivant

Mrs. Nancy ""Jayne"" Hutchens Sturdivant, 71, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Sturdivant was born May 16, 1942 in Forsyth County to the late Earvin A. and Irene Joyner Hutchens. She was a graduate of Mitchell's College and was retired from Western Electric Corporation. Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband of 45 years, Paul Franklin Sturdivant, Jr., of the home, two daughters; Kelly Shea Swaim and Vicki Rene Smith of Winston-Salem, five grandchildren; Christopher, Austin, Haley, Mandi, Cherie, a great-grandson; Blake, a sister, Anne Taylor of East Bend, NC and a brother, Sam Hutchens of Morehead City, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm Monday, January 27, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow in the Hayworth-Miller Chapel officiated by Chaplain Rennie Adcock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice/Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to the Humane Society of Winston-Salem.
