Nancy Virginia Johnson

Nancy Virginia Johnson, 73, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Ms. Johnson was born November 26, 1952, in Martinsville, VA, to Henry Clifton Johnson Sr. and Ida Mae Weathers Johnson. In 1971, she graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School then later attended East Carolina University with a focus in Sports Medicine. Nancy worked for Integon Insurance for several years before moving on to work with Hanes Brands as a Customs Compliance Analyst. A devout Christian, she was a member of Centenary Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. Nancy had a great love for animals and was a longtime volunteer with the Siamese Cat Rescue, transporting cats to their forever homes. She was also a licensed pilot and a member of The 99’s, a national service organization for female pilots. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Kathryn J. March (Eric); her brother, Henry “Hank” Johnson (Bridget); two nieces, Kate Johnson, and Molly Johnson; and one nephew, Sam Johnson.

No formal services will be held at this time.
