Nancy Whicker

Walkertown - Mrs. Nancy Lee Spainhour Whicker, 69, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018. She was born on April 16, 1949 in Forsyth County to the late Ruth Lee Brown and James Elisha Spainhour. Nancy was a member of Gospel Light Baptist for over 50 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Adam Sams.
Survivors include her loving husband of 41 ½ years, Stephen David Whicker; sisters, Doris Rousey (Jimmy), JoAnn Sams (Tom) and Mary Stewart; two nephews, David Rousey and Jarrod Sams; one niece, Kathryn Carpenter (Anthony); two great-nieces, Kaylee and Kelsey Carpenter; and her husband's extended family. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, at Gospel Light Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Walkertown Fire & Rescue, 5225 Main St, Walkertown, NC 27051. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
