Naomi Jones Crook

Mrs. Naomi Jones Crook, 88, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2006, at Kerner Ridge Assisted Living. She was born September 5, 1937, in Johnston County, the daughter of William and Bertie Adams Jones. She was a member of First Baptist Church and belonged to the Be Friendly Group. Naomi retired from Lambe-Young Realty after 30 years of service. She enjoyed quilting, decorating her home, gardening and playing golf. A straightforward person, she was a fantastic Grandmother who was patient and devoted to her family. She enjoyed her many hours spent on Lake Gaston with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Bill” Crook and she was the last living of ten siblings. Survivors include her children, Richard B. May (Gayle) and Janet May Beeson (Dwight) all of Kernersville; five grandchildren, Daniel Beeson (Ailene), Phillip May (Cheyenne), Kathryn Hamm (Dwayne), Chris May (Amber) and Rachel May; seven great grandchildren, Hayden May, Jackson May, Charlie May, Levi May, Lily May, Avery Beeson and Harrison Hamm; a special friend, Alice Miller and many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Steve Roberson and Pastor Greg Mullis officiating, Burial will follow in Mt.
