Naomi Kathleen "Kat" Frye

Naomi Kathleen ""Kat"" Frye, 96, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Regency Care of Clemmons. A native of Lewisville, Kat was born on November 3, 1920 to the late Walter A. Ridings and Nora Griffin Ridings. She was a lifelong member of Sharon United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Dallas Frye; four sisters, Love Yow (Carl), Louise Motsinger (Gilbert), Mary Doub (Austin), and Gladys Ridings and two brothers, Troy Ridings and Walter A. Ridings, Jr. Surviving are two sons, D. Eugene ""Gene"" Frye (Norma) of Albuquerque, NM and Larry R. Frye (Reba) of Clemmons; one grandson, Scott Eugene Frye; two great-grandchildren, Seth and Ethan Frye; three step-grandchildren, Randy Conrad (Libby), Pauletta Warfford (Miles), and Tracy Wooten (Cindy); five step-great-grandchildren, Richard and Allen Conrad, Josh and Olivia Whiteheart, and Cody Wooten; also surviving is a sister-in-law, Billie Ridings and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Kat will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 10, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. Burial will follow at Sharon United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sharon United Methodist Church, 5300 Sharon Church Rd., Lewisville, NC 27023. The family would like to thank the staff at Clemmons Village I and Regency Care for the great care given to mom during the last 14 years.
