Naomi Penry

Mrs. Naomi Boles Penry, 90, of Winston-Salem, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

Naomi was born August 29, 1927 in Stokes County to Charles and Bessie Boles. She was a member of Corinth Church of Christ and retired from Western Electric after 32 years of service. Naomi loved to take family trips to the beach and enjoyed playing Bingo and especially Rummy. She spent her free time in her flower garden and cooking for her large family. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, James Buchanan Penry, sister, Hazel Kiger, brother, Herb Boles, granddaughter, Amie Lamb, and son in law, Mark Henley.

Left to cherish Naomi's memory are her daughters, Linda Coleman and husband Philip of Davidson, Sylvia Bowling of Lexington, Dianne Roski and husband Joe of Winston-Salem, Debbie Fain and husband Harold of Lexington, and Robin Henley of Winston-Salem; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Ellen Boles of Winston-Salem; and cherished cat, Molly.

A celebration of Naomi's life will be held Friday, April 13, 2018 at 12 noon at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Mr. Jerry Morrison and Mr. Philip Coleman officiating. Interment will follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 6 - 8 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Trinity Glen for their wonderful care of Naomi.
