Naomi Shaffer

Mrs. Naomi Jean Perkins Shaffer, 95, of Bermuda Run passed away March 18, 2018 at Bermuda Village Health Care Center surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was born April 25, 1922 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to Harry Elwood Perkins and Hazel Olive Daniels Perkins. Mrs. Shaffer was preceded in death by her husband, George Edgar Shaffer. Surviving is a son, Stephen Douglas Shaffer (Joanne LeDonne); three grandchildren, Erik (Karen Shaffer), Katherine and Meredith (Gary McElhiney); and five great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kaylee, Jeremiah, Garrett, and Bentley. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University. She was a teacher in the Ohio public school system. She was a docent at Reynolda House for several years and was an avid bridge player, reader and bird watcher. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Clemmons United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
